Plant Intelligence

Plant Intelligence

Is the blue whale the largest creature on the planet? Not accordng to this italian botanist. It's a tree with a mass of over 2000 tonnes. The talk brings a refreshing perspective which argues there is less difference between plants and animals than we think. In fact, they share the same action potential and the same signals that the neurons in our brain use to exchange information. Turns out, Aristotle was wrong.

Plants behave in some oddly intelligent ways. But can we think of them as actually having a form of intelligence of their own?
